Spyderco's Atlantic Salt combines this amazing blade material with a sheepfoot folder design to yield a versatile mariner's knife that is completely at home in the water. The Atlantic Salt's sheepfoot blade allows safe, efficient cutting and its large 14mm Round Hole makes one-handed opening easier with gloved or wet hands. All other steel components of the Atlantic Salt have also been specially treated to make them impervious to rust and pitting. Although it earned an extremely devoted following, in some ways it was outpaced by some of the design improvements that make our Delia 4 design even better. Consistent with our Obsession with constant quality improvement (C.Q.I.), we decided to revamp the design to create the salt 2. It combines all the salient features of the best-in-class Delia 4 lightweight C88PYL2 with the extraordinary corrosion resistance of H-1 steel. These include enhanced ergonomics, a high-traction bi-directional texturing pattern on the handle, and a black-coated titanium pocket clip that supports left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry.
