2018 Volkl Mantra Skis w/ Tyrolia Attack 13 Bindin

Description

The 2018 Volkl Mantra Skis with binding setup is the ultimate bundle for expert level skiers looking for one of the best skis ever made. The Mantra has undergone some changes over the years, but is only graphically different for 17-18. Volkl has continued its dominance in the expert level one ski quiver department and with good reason. The 2018 Volkl Mantra is an ideal choice for skiing fast, taking chances, and ripping the entire mountain. Speed is a big reason why we all love skiing so much. It's incredibly important to have the proper tools on your feet so that skiing fast is stable and smooth and controlled. The 2018 Volkl Mantra is one of the best in the business. Thanks to its wood core and dual metal layers, the Mantra is stiff enough to handle some top end MPH's and barely flinch. Risk is an inherent aspect of the sport of skiing. You'll never progress unless you take risks, and you won't take risks if your skis are below your ability level. The 2018 Volkl Mantra has a full rocker shape that allows you to push your boundaries perhaps past comfort and still feel in control. The tips engage easily into the turn and the tails don't lock you in-unless you want them to. As a result, the skier has all the control of the equation and is able to calculate and assess risk accurately. The Volkl Mantra has long been known as an all-mountain ski, and we couldn't agree more. At 100mm underfoot, the Mantra bridges the gap between on-trail and off-piste, creating a perfect shape for an all-mountain charger. You'll never find an aspect of terrain in which the Mantra fails. The 2018 Volkl Mantra ski and binding setup is the ideal tool for expert skiers looking to ski the entire hill.

Ability Level: Advanced to Expert

Description

The M5 Mantra marks the fifth generation of one of the most popular all mountain skis of all time. The Mantra is known for its high performance nature and versatile performance across the whole mountain. For 2019 Volkl has taken it to a whole new level with their new Titanal Frame construction, camber under foot, carbon tips and tails, and more. The result is an awesome ski with a tremendous feel, a huge sweet spot, and it?s also now more approachable for slightly less aggressive skiers. This new Titanal Frame construction uses horseshoe shaped sheets of metal along the edges that extend through the tips and tails, but stop under foot. This retains the stability and vibration damping that comes along with metal and gives the ski excellent power when you tip it on edge, but allows for a more natural flex pattern under foot, which gives the ski a more balanced feel and a bigger sweet spot compared to previous Mantras. Whether you?re skiing it in soft snow, in chopped up terrain, or on groomers, the Mantra performs at a very high level. It?s slightly more playful than earlier versions of the ski, while still retaining that Mantra-like feel and the precision and power that made the ski famous in the first place.

4. Volkl Mantra Ski 2018 - 170

Feature

2018 Volkl Mantra Skis

Description

The 2018 Volkl Mantra gets a cosmetic facelift, but not much else has changed. It's still the same amazing, do it all product that has been a best seller for years. For expert skiers, east or west, the Volkl Mantra is a staple in the ski industry because of its rocker, shape, and construction. In soft or fresh snow, the full rocker found on the Mantra makes the ski feel wider and floatier than the numbers may suggest. It also makes the ski feel more maneuverable and nimble. You rarely, if ever, get locked into a turn any longer than you feel like you should-it's an effortless transition from one turn to the next. Also, due to the stiffness of the ski, the rocker shape gives the impression that the ski is softer than it actually is. At 100mm underfoot, the Mantra shoots for a nice round number that seems to suit a lot of different skiers and conditions. The resulting 23.7 meter turn radius at 177cm length is on the longer side for comparable skis, but all that really means is that you can go straighter and faster. The shape of the Mantra has evolved over the years, and for a go anywhere, do anything ski, it really doesn't get much better than this. The slightly turned up tail releases from turns easily if you want it to, but the more you press into the turn, the more rebound and energy you'll get in return. It can feel like a race ski or a powder ski all in the same run.

5. 2018 Volkl RTM 81 Skis with iPT WR XL 12.0 TCX Bindings

Feature

2018 Volkl RTM 81 Skis w/ iPT WR XL 12.0 TCX Bindi

Description

Are you ready to lay down super quick and snappy turns all over the front of your ski mountain? I am sure that was a yes and the new Volkl RTM 81 skis and bindings are the new setup you should consider. Especially if you find yourself spending all of your time making a variety of strong turn shapes. The Power of Steel included in the core construction generates a smooth ride with no chatter and secure edge grip when you need it. The RTM 81 is loaded with 3D technologies this year. Let's start with the 3D.Ridge technology, which is quickly becoming recognized as the most effective construction that has been developed by Volkl's engineers. The newly introduced 3D.Ridge Technology has also become a prime example of Volkl's continued lightweight constructions. 3D.Ridge is a raised ridge in the center of the ski that drastically levels out near the edge of the skis in front and behind the binding. This unique construction reduces the inertia around the center of the ski to a minimum and enhances the agility of the skis. The 3D.Ridge construction also makes for a lighter weight on wider skis with precise pressure distribution and power transmission. A new addition to this year's RTM 81 skis from the 3D technology family is the inclusion of 3D.Glass which is a three-dimensional glass layer that wraps the underside of the core extending over the sidewall in the bindings area. The RTM 81 offers Volkl's XTD Tip and Tail Rocker Profile for easy turn initiation, better float and easy turn exit. If you're not a believer that the new RTM 81 skis and bindings are an ideal super energetic option for the frontside yet, give this smooth ride and try, you will love the benefits of 3D. Technologies!

6. Volkl 2016 Step Jr Skis w/Marker 4.5 EPS Binding (138)

Feature

Sidecut: 106/74/99 mm at 138 cm Turn Radius: 13 m at 138 cm
Sensor Wood
Core Cap Construction
Ability Level: Intermediate to Expert Junior Skiers

Description

The Volkl Step Junior is an awesome choice for any young skier that's excited to explore the whole resort, play around in new terrain and snow conditions, and maybe takes a run through the terrain park now and then. The Step Junior is a really cool junior ski as it uses a full rocker profile and a wood core that's found in lots of Volkl's adult models! The sensor wood core combined with the ski's cap construction provides a stable, confidence-inspiring feel, but is more user-friendly and easy to ski than a ski with a vertical sidewall. This makes turn initiation a little easier for lighter weight skiers while also boosting durability so the skis will hold up to the abuse kids can sometimes dish out on their gear. The Step Junior uses a full rocker profile that gives it a very smooth, catch-free feel whether you're spinning off lips in the terrain park, skiing moguls, or even playing around in powder conditions. This full rocker profile is great for kids as it really makes the skis much more versatile than a cambered or even partially rockered ski. It will carve turns on groomers, but is much more maneuverable and easy to use in tricky terrain and soft snow conditions.

Ski harder, with more confidence and less fatigue aboard the new Volkl M5 Mantra Skis!

10. Volkl Kendo Ski 2018 - 170

Feature

2018 Volkl Kendo Skis

Description

For years, the Volkl Kendo has been a favorite of expert and advanced level skiers who ski mainly on-trail, but also venture into the woods and off-piste. Whereas the Mantra is a true 50-50 all-mountain ski, the Kendo could better be described as 60-40 in favor of on-trail performance. Nevertheless, it's a stiff, burly ski with two sheets of metal and camber underfoot-there's not a whole lot of relaxing and lollygagging on the Kendo-you have to be on it full time. But rewarded you shall be. The Kendo offers the best mix of groomer performance with some off-piste skiing that we know of thanks to its rocker profile and burly construction. The 2018 Kendo continues its trend of containing tip and tail rocker and camber underfoot. Purists scoffed at the tail rocker a few years ago, but have quickly come around to the tail's continued ability to snap and pop in and out of turns. The tip rocker allows for easy turn initiation and the camber underfoot holds an edge on hard snow much like a race ski. The Kendo's tip has some moderate taper to it as well, allowing better performance in softer snow and fresh snow conditions. The 2018 Volkl Kendo is constructed much like a race ski. With a full wood core and two sheets of metal, the Kendo is a stiff ski with no top end speed. It likes to be pushed hard and it responds in kind. If you're railing turns on the groomers, be prepared, because the Kendo has some kick. If you slack off on it, you'll get bucked. If you're balanced and precise, it will reward you with some amazing feedback. All told, the 2018 Volkl Kendo is a purists ski-one that gives back what you put in.

Conclusion

By our suggestions above, we hope that you can found the best skis volkl for you. Please don't forget to share your experience by comment in this post. Thank you!
