Directions: For black hair colour 2 step process Step 1: Mix MATRU henna with water to get a thick batter consistency henna paste. Soak it for 2 hours. Apply this paste on washed ( no conditioner used) , unoiled hair , covering entire length and roots. Leave it for 60 - 90 min. Rinse it off thoroughly. Do not use shampoo. Step 2: Mix MATRU indigo with salt.(A tspoon of salt for 100gms of the powder.) Make a thick henna like paste with warm water (40c). Apply immediately on your hair covering root to tip.leave it for 1-3 hours depending in the shade desired. The longer you leave it the darker the shade. Rinse it off thoroughly . Do not use shampoo . Wash your hair using a mild natural shampoo after 48 hours as the color keeps developing till then. For different brown shades use henna and indigo in 1 step as described below: Dark brown: mix 3 parts of indigo an 1 part of henna. Brown : mix 2 parts of indigo and 1 part if henna. Light brown: mix 1 part if indigo and 1 part of henna. For the above combinations for different shades of brown pre soak the henna for 2 hours. Make the paste of indigo with warm water and salt just before applying. Mix the henna and indigo paste and apply immediately. Tips: . Repeated use of the dye builds up naturally looking black/brown shades. . Make the indigo paste just before applying. Similarly to henna powders, indigo powders are not all created equally. There are some simple yet important differences between the indigo powders we carry at mi nature. Indigo is an Ayurvedic herb that come marketplaces call "Black Henna" but it's not henna at all. Indigo is it's own plant also known as Indigofera Tinctoria. It's used as a natural hair colorant used with henna powder to create reddish brown, brown and up to black tones and cover grey hairs. Naturally coloring your hair with henna and indigo will last 4-6 weeks.
Your indigo powder should be fresh, finely sifted and contain no additives, chemicals nor PPD. It's very important to never use indigo alone without first using henna or adding henna paste directly to your indigo paste. Should you use indigo paste by itself on your hair it will give you a greenish hue.
