Description
The lessons can run from 30 to 90 minutes and would often start with free talking covering how the students are as well as something from you. This has on occasion become the area of focus where my original lesson had then been postponed until next time. Do not be afraid of that happening as the first reason to be together is to build confidence in talking. Since the first book, I have learned a few new methods in getting the time more productive for them. A lot of it should in theory mirror their outside experiences, but in the safety of making errors with friends. There are only three lesson plans needed to be understood throughout this book. That does not mean this is too easy, but the focus should be purely on getting them talking. Over the next few pages, I will guide you through the major lesson structures. The lesson types include: Pronunciation - Speaking clearly can help in expressing and getting an understanding from whomever they address. Informal - This includes many casual words and small sayings which students need if they are to improve their skills. Questions - They are used to engage in conversation they need to know how to make proper questions and that means how to probe into various subjects. All lesson types are designed to give confidence to grow and improve the student's English levels. I have also included many examples for the lessons to get you started and show what you need to make your own. In places where used I have included both the US and British spelling certain words. This could be, for example, "favourite/favorite".8. 1: English Made Easy Volume One: A New ESL Approach: Learning English Through Pictures
