2. Turn emergency key anticlockwise and open the door.
3. Remove the battery compartment cover and insert 4AA batteries. When replacing batteries in the future, it is best to use heavy duty alkaline AA batteries.

This safe comes programmed with a preset factory code - 123 (from left to right). For security purposes you need to change this to your own personal code by following steps:
1. Press the reset button (inside the safe closing to the lock) for 5 seconds, then green lights goes on at the same time. Two "beep" will sound, loose the button.
2. Input new code, press the reset button (if the new code is 8 digits, you do not need to press the reset button), the green lights shines one time with three short beeps.
