1. RaceFace Chester Pedal Red, One Size

Feature

Material: [body] nylon composite, [axle] chromoly steel
Removable Pins: yes, steel
Claimed Weight: 340 g
Actual Weight Notes: Race Face Chester flat pedals.
Recommended Use: mountain bike

Description

Having a place to put your feet is a pretty non-negotiable part of cycling, but, you don't want to spend your post-ride refreshment budget (and part of next month's rent) on flashy pedals, either. Race Face's Chester Pedals don't have the shiny aluminum construction of some of their pricier counterparts, but they also won't empty your wallet, and Race Face carefully constructs their nylon composite body to make it just as grippy and responsive as aluminum versions. Using eight replaceable steel hex traction pins on each side of the pedals, Race Face gives the rubber soles of your shoes a place to hang on when you're blasting through destructive territory. It also fully seals the bearing and bushing system while a durable Cro-Mo steel axle keeps the pedal working smoothly for as long as possible. If it eventually does need some work, Race Face makes the system completely serviceable too, so you won't be forced to replace a perfectly good pedal because of a bushing or bearing problem.

2. EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run V2 Stereo Delay Reverb, Limited Edition Black and White

Description

Hey buddy! Welcome to your new Avalanche Run Stereo Reverb and Delay with Tap Tempo! The Avalanche Run was developed with one goal in mind: to take the floating ambient tones of our Dispatch Master to the next level while still keeping it user friendly and refined. Taking you into the aural exploratorium without having to break open the user manual every time you want to open up your inner eye and get free is no easy task. We are using a high powered proprietary DSP platform to recreate all the characteristics of all our old favorite delay and reverb machines while still retaining a simple, yet flexible workspace. It has been a long time coming but well worth the wait! Enough bullshit, let's talk about the damn pedal! The Avalanche Run is a dreamy sonic discovery device with up to 2 seconds of delay time and a lush stereo reverb. It features complete control over delay time, repeats, mix and voice (with the tone control), as well as control over the reverb length and mix. It can run in one of 3 different modes: Normal, Reverse and Swell. In "Normal" mode, the Avalanche Run functions as a straightforward delay and reverb. In "Reverse" mode, the delay line is in reverse and the reverb remains in normal mode. In "Swell" mode, the Avalanche Run reacts to your picking dynamics and adds a volume swell to the entire signal path much like manually raising and lowering the volume of your guitar. The Avalanche Run features an expression jack that can be assigned to one of six different controls using the "EXP" selector switch. It also features Tap Tempo with six different ratios accessed via the "Ratio" selector switch. The Avalanche Run can also be run in "True Bypass" mode or "Buffered Bypass" mode for trails and features 5 different tail lengths including "Infinite" for lo-fi and continuously degrading pseudo-looping.

    6. EarthQuaker Devices Westwood Translucent Overdrive Manipulator (LE Purple)

    Description

Westwood is a mild mannered light- to medium-gain translucent overdrive manipulator that ll still knock the socks right off your trusty low-wattage combo amp, pushing it into anything from cutting, edge-of-breakup rhythm tones, all the way to articulate, singing lead tones stacked high with pleasing even-order harmonics and sweet, sweet sustain. Its powerful active EQ section has up to 20dB of cut and/or boost at 80Hz and 2kHz. The Westwood s Drive control sets the level of gain for a near-clean boost at lower settings, to rich, bell-like jangle and chime, all the way to soaring lead tones that are cutting and distinct, but never harsh. The Westwood responds to changes in guitar volume at any setting, and varying the intensity of your pick attack reveals the subtle nuances of your technique and tone. The powerful active EQ section has controls for Treble and Bass with up to 20 dB of cut and/or boost. Center-detent pots indicate the flat setting. When you feel a click, there is neither cut nor boost, and your tone remains unaltered, but with extra gain. Treble affects the area around 2kHz and is handy for taming icepick-y single coils, or giving humbuckers a lift to add an uncompressed, open, and airy top end sparkle. Westwood s Bass control operates around 80Hz and can be used to tighten up the low end of an already dark sounding guitar, or if turned up, will soften your attack, and introduce tube-like sag for a browned out sound with plenty of woody, organic bottom end thump that ll make chords think and chunky, while single notes bloom with ringing sustain.

    Description

The Organizer is a polyphonic organ emulator designed to mimic the organ tones of yesteryear crossed with the highly unique "Guitorgan". It has a warm and very analog feel with a hint of Leslie warble that is unlike other modern octave shifters. It is simple to dial in and tracks chords as well as single notes perfectly all over the neck on both guitar and bass. Not only can the Organizer be used on strings, it has been widely used on everything from vocals and synths to horns and drums If it makes sound, the Organizer can handle it! The Organizer uses a mix of analog and DSP circuitry with true bypass switching and an all analog dry signal path. It is made by hand, one at a time in dirty Akron, Ohio. The controls Up: Level control for the octave up. Down: Level control for the octave down. Choir: This control takes a mix of the octave up and octave down setting and regenerates it. The end result is an additional 2 octaves up, 2 octaves down and direct signal with a slight delay that adds a "church organ" like feel. This control only works if the octave up and octave down are in use. Direct: Level control for the analog dry signal. Tone: Rolls off the high end as you dial it counter-clockwise. Lag: Delay control for the wet signal. Full counter-clockwise is minimal delay, delay time increases as it rotates clockwise.
