Appearance

Because of the thermal and chemical treatment applied to the nozzle they do have a bit of a dark, sometimes uneven looking coloration and surface finish, and there can be a small amount of residue on the nozzles despite our final cleaning process. The coloration variance is normal and doesn't affect function. Any residue left on the nozzle will quickly be flushed in the first few millimetres of extrusion, especially if you flush it out with an abrasive filled material!

These nozzles are engineered for ultimate high temperature performance. Made from a special high temperature copper-alloy with a softening point of well above 500C, and with much-increased thermal conductivity these copper nozzles are perfect for high temperature applications, while working perfectly with everyday filaments like PLA, ABS and spoolWorks EDGE.


In addition to high temperature performance these nozzles have an advanced nickel based plating, considerably reducing the adhesion of plastic to the nozzle. This is great for everyday filaments keeping things clean and shiny, but is particularly important at temperatures above 300C where a silicone sock can't be used.


Copper has more than 3x the thermal conductivity of brass, and the copper alloy we use has been hardened and treated to reduce the oxidation that occurs in copper at high temperatures. Step 2:After heat done, use SPANNER to hold heat block, use Socket screwdriver to screw old nozzle out. old nozzle will be very hot, don't touch by hands!!!
Step 3:Put new nozzle to this socket screwdriver, spanner keep to hold heat block, screw nozzle in, must be tight and it is done.
Notice: NOZZLE and Heat Block on 3D printer need heat before take out, don't touch it by hands when printer is heading or close less than 10 mins.

This .6mm Nozzle has a slightly bigger opening then the standard nozzle which could mean increasing print speeds and increasing layer heights whcich is perfect for taller prints or prints that need less detail. This nozzle has a great balance of detail ability to print speed. V6 Nozzles feature backwards compatibility, so they can be used to upgrade your V5 HotEnd. If you are using a V6 HeatBreak it is recommended that you use a V6 Nozzle. Each nozzle is carefully built to the highest quality. Please be aware that software adjustments will have to be made before printing with this nozzle. Your slicer software has to know that the nozzle has an increased layer height. Not sure about this design? E3D is confident that the new-style socks will suit almost all customers, but E3D kept this design available for specific use-cases. In particular, these socks may be preferable in set-ups where keeping the heater block AND nozzle fully insulated are desirable. We recommend using these socks with our 0.15mm nozzles.


These socks will keep your nozzle clean and free of burnt on blackened plastic. They don't just keep the nozzle clean, but also keep heat inside the hotend, and off the print.


Made of a heat-resistant, non-stick silicone material our will repel build-up of molten plastic. This really helps with sticky materials like Co-Polyesters and filled materials that like to build up on nozzles.


These also offer a huge boost in temperature stability, particularly if you use high airflow cooling around the nozzle to cool the print. The additional cooling combined with reduced radiation of heat from the block and nozzle to the print really boost the ability to print great overhangs and bridges, all while keeping the hotend temperature extremely stable.


The covers simply push onto the front of the hotend with no disassembly - they will be a tight fit when first pushed on cold. When hot the silicone will expand to the correct size to fit the hotend snugly. The elastic material will fit all nozzle sizes in the range from 0.25mm to 0.80mm.


These v6 socks are a pack of 3 because they don't last forever. Depending on what materials you print and how much abuse they get they eventually wear away at the nozzle tip. Even with sticky abrasive materials and a bit of abuse they should easily last 100+ print hours. With materials like ABS and gentler use you can get almost infinite life. Mileage may vary.
